E2S Quickstart Guide
We’ve put together a quick start guide to help get you from installation to import in a matter of minutes.
Step 1
Download & Install Trial Version
Download the free trial of E2S from the downloads section from the menu above.
Once downloaded extract the zip file to a local directory on your PC
Run the SetupExcel2Sage.exe program following the install wizard
Step 2
Enable 3rd Party Integration & Create Sage User for Importing
In this section we will be telling Sage we wish for a 3rd Party application to interact with it by enabling the 3rd Party Integration option and setting up a new user within Sage for E2S to use when importing your data.

How to enable your 3rd Party Integration in Sage 50 Accounts
- Create a user in Sage 50 Accounts
– Open your Sage 50 Accounts program
– Login to the company you wish to import to as ‘Manager‘
– Go to Settings > Access Rights
– Select ‘New‘
– Enter an E2S username for example ‘connector’ and a password
Step 3
Open your E2S Connector from your Desktop
In this section we will be chosing your version of Sage 50 and pointing the E2S application to the right data source.
- Select your version of Sage 50
- Open the Company Control Tab within E2S
– Select ‘Read Sage Companies‘
– Click ‘Yes‘ to confirm you wish to update the list of companies
– Click to highlight the company you wish to import data to
– Click ‘Choose Default Company‘
– Click ‘Save All Changes‘
Step 4
Check E2S Configuration
In this section we will be updating the E2S Connector with the correct Sage credentials to allow it to connect to your Sage company.
Note: the username and password assigned to E2S will need to be setup in each of the Sage companies you wish to import to.
- Open the Configuration Tab within E2S
– Change Sage User & Password to the user you created in Step 2
– Click ‘Save Configuration‘
Step 5
Prepare E2S Import Spreadsheet with Data
In this section we will be preparing your import spreadsheet with data ready to import it into Sage with just one click.
Note: Column headings highlighted red are mandatory fields that must be populated before attempting an import.
- From either your Desktop shortcut or the ‘Open’ XLS icon at the top of the E2S Connector, open your E2S Import Spreadsheet
Step 6
Importing your data to Sage
In this section we will be using the E2S Connector to import your data into Sage.
Note: Please ensure the correct Sage company is highlighted in the E2S Company Control tab and that you have taken a back-up of your Sage data before attempting an import.
- Open the E2S Connector from your desktop shortcut
- From the ‘Main‘ tab within the E2S Connector please click and check the box of the transaction type you wish to import
- Click Run
- Review the adjacent logfile
